Job Description

Seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support an attorney whose practice includes business litigation, general litigation, real estate, and transactional matters. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can manage legal and administrative responsibilities while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of legal assistant experience, be proactive, comfortable asking questions, and possess the communication skills and patience necessary to work effectively with attorneys, paralegals, clients, and court personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated support to one attorney in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prepare, edit, and format legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and transactional documents.
  • Manage attorney dictation and produce accurate, professional work product.
  • Maintain electronic and physical client files using NetDocuments (NetDocs).
  • Utilize ProLaw for case management, calendaring, and document tracking.
  • Prepare and organize litigation and transaction binders.
  • Handle state and federal e-filings.
  • Perform document comparisons, redlining, and version control.
  • Coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, deadlines, and scheduling.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and internal staff.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Legal Assistant experience.
  • Experience supporting attorneys in:
    • Business Litigation
    • General Litigation
  • Proficiency with:
    • ProLaw
    • NetDocuments (NetDocs)
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • E-filing systems
    • Document redlining and version comparisons
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing dedicated support to a single attorney.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Dictation and transcription experience.
  • State and federal court filing experience.
